Strength of an Organization>>

I am 50 years old Sulochana Devi and is attached with NBJK facilitated group for the last 24 years and is holding post of treasurer. 13 years ago my husband owned a petty shop where he sold chocolates, biscuits etc. I also wanted to help my husband but could not due to financial crunch. During this juncture I came to know about self help groups and its benefits. I formed a group with 14 members. I also came  to know  that  some economic  benefits  in  form of loans is channelized to the groups  through

NBJK. In 1994 our group members were provided a loan of Rs. 1000/- each. With this I purchased few goods from town. Till date I have taken a loan of Rs. 1, 08, 000/-. With this money I have converted my petty shop into a general store and from where I daily earn Rs.200-Rs.300. Previously I used to earn Rs.50/- only. I have invested Rs.50, 000 in my business. The income I have built a new shop, carrying children's education and have done electrification in house.
