From Dusk to Dawn >>

I am Lepo Munda, resident of village Salehatu of Khunti block in Ranchi district. I am sole earning member of my family. Since last six years I lost vision of one of my eyes. This year after being hurt by branch of a tree I lost vision of my second eye also. I consulted doctors and they advised immediate operation costing Rs. 60, 000. This was not possible for me and consoled that whatever has happened was my fate. I came to know from fellow villagers that NBJK, a voluntary organization is working for people with disabilities. I approached NBJK office and they ensured me full assistance and cooperation. After few days I was called up in NBJK office where some media persons interviewed me. My story along with an appeal to provide financial  assistance was flashed in newspapers. After few days' news came that I have to undergo eye test in Kashyap  eye hospital. I went to hospital along with NBJK staff where I  met Dr. Bharti  Kashyap. NBJK  staff narrated  my  case

history. I was assured treatment of one of my eyes free of cost. Then I was taken to Dr. Raghunath who is in charge to authorize free treatment to patients below BPL list. He sanctioned free treatment under Mukhya Mantri Chikitsa Sahayta Nidhi. I was then admitted to Kashyap eye hospital where firstly my right eye was operated and after a month my second eye was also operated. Today I can see crystal clear and for which I owe Nav Bharat Jagriti Kendra as they cautiously backed up whole process.
